Hair fall is a problem faced by all women, well, eventually. So, it happens to be one of the most common problems that women often complain about.
After all, it is extremely painful to see our precious hair strands falling all over the house, or in the shower drain.
Hair fall tends to increase a lot after a shower because being wet makes hair more susceptible to damage and breakage. About a hundred strands of hair falling every day is considered to be normal.
And even that amount can seem like a lot on an average day. But, when the fall seems to be more than this, there is a lot of reason to worry about it. It is unhealthy and usually is a sign of an underlying major problem when the hair is falling out in bunches.
But, do not fret! There are several things that you can do to banish hair fall, but slowly. There is no sure-fire quick way to just stop hair fall.
It takes a little time to work, but rather than paying a lot of money and getting parlour treatments done, you could use natural ingredients that would work in the same way and cost less than half the price you'd end up in getting these treatments or on store-bought products.
Neem:
Also known as Indian lilac, neem has antifungal and antibacterial properties. Therefore, it is used as a natural remedy for a host of problems. Boil a few neem leaves in coconut oil and then strain the leaves out. Massage this warm oil on to your scalp and wash it off in an hour or two.
Methi:
The English term for methi is fenugreek. Methi seeds crushed to a powdered form have many medicinal values for the face as well as for the hair. Soak methi seeds in water overnight. Strain the water, and in the next morning, you could also use this water as a final rinse after shampooing your hair.
Eggs:
Beat an egg until it reaches a gooey consistency. Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to the mix and then apply this mixture all over your hair and leave it on for 15 minutes. The protein in the egg nourishes the scalp and prevents hair fall.
Amla:
Also known as the Indian gooseberry, amla is a blessing for people like us who suffer from hair loss. Enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants, this ingredient strengthens the hair shaft and prevents hair breakage and fall. Boil some dried amla pieces in water and allow it to cool. Use this water as a final rinse after a shower.
Hibiscus:
Hibiscus is known to stop hair fall, prevent premature greying and also reduce dandruff. Just crush a few hibiscus flower petals and mix them with some coconut oil. We have actually seen flower-infused oils being sold in the markets. So, why not just make your own, right?
Onion Juice:
Onions, while being a smelly affair in general are known to be really effective in preventing hair fall. Rub onion pieces on your scalp directly. Just don't do this before a date or an important event because the smell takes a few days to go away.
Henna:
The entire west is raving about this amazing Indian herb, and no wonder why. Henna has been used for hair conditioning and for hair fall treatment since ages in India. It makes hair grow shinier, softer and also reduces hair fall to a great extent.
