Game on, selfie-ers: Helene Meldahl has taken the game to a whole new level.
Mirrorsme, a young Norwegian instagramer, has certainly altered our perception of mirror selfies. A new Internet starlet has been drawing funny interactive illustration with posca, acrylic and chalk markers on her bathroom mirror for over a year.
Covering everything from pop culture and Disneyland to music and morality, the clever 3-D images have captured the imagination of her fans after she started doodling when leaving lipstick messages to her flatmates on their mirrors.
The 26-year-old has 50,000 followers at her Instagram account Mirrorsme because of the popularity of her freewheeling style of doodling.
"I guess I've always been doodling on things like schoolbooks or napkins," she said. "For me it kind of comes natural to draw."
Meldahl said that in the mornings she used to leave small drawings on the bathroom mirror for her roommate. One day she turned a drawing into a selfie and posted it online.
She enjoyed doing it, and people enjoyed looking at it, so creating more seemed like a no-brainer.
Now this is what you call a selfie.
