Arrow - Season 5 - Can't Be Stopped | official Extended Trailer (2016)

Arrow Season 5 Trailer: Oliver Recruits a New Team

When Arrow returns this fall to The CW for its fifth season, the team we have come to know will be in a much different place. After Oliver Queen and the rest of Team Arrow defeated Damien Darhk at the end of season 4, the various members of the team looked to be going their separate ways. John Diggle (played by David Ramsay) reenlisted, Thea (Willa Holland) went off to find herself, and of course, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassiday) was killed by Darhk during his prison break. This left Oliver and Felicity as the remaining members of Team Arrow.
While Thea and Diggle will likely be back before long, we know that Oliver will, in the meantime, turn to some new vigilantes for help. Echo Kellum, who plays Curtis Holt, has been upped to a series regular for season 5, and will finally embrace his Mister Terrific persona when he joins the Arrow’s team. Furthermore, Madison McLaughlin will return as Evelyn Sharp, and will join the team as Artemis. Finally, Mr. Robot‘s Rick Gonzalez will also be joining the new team as the vigilante, Wild Dog.
The new group of vigilantes were recently teased in a bunch of set photos, amplifying excitement for the upcoming season of Arrow. And now, we have a look at Oliver Queen rounding up the new members of his cause, thanks to the latest Arrow season 5 trailer released by The CW (see above).
Arrow Season 5 Terrific Artemis Arrow Season 5 Trailer: Oliver Recruits a New Team
The above Arrow season 5 preview (subtitled ‘Can’t Be Stopped’), among other things, shows Oliver seeking out and training a new team. In a Justice League like quote, Oliver tells Thea that he is “recruiting a new team.” We then see a bunch of cuts of Wild Dog and Artemis in action, but it looks like things won’t come quite as easy for Curtis Holt. We get a few quick shots of Holt getting beat up on the street, failing at the American Ninja Warrior training bar, and touting his Bronze Medals.
The rest of the trailer showcases Arrow‘s trademark action sequences, while giving us a few quick glances at villains, Tobias Chuch and Prometheus. We also see John Diggle in full military uniform, which is a good look for him. Perhaps the most interesting part of the trailer is around the 20 second mark, when Wild Dog looks to be jumping out from behind Prometheus. And right in front of Prometheus is Artemis. Could the two be working in tandem to start of the season? If so, things could play out similarly to the Young Justice Artemis, where she has a connection to the bad guys (her father in that case), but is determined to be good. We’ll find out soon enough.
